Colin Gonsalves

Colin Gonsalves is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India. He is also the Executive Director of Human Rights Law Network (HRLN). A pioneer in the field ofpublic interest litigation in India, he has successfully brought a number of cases dealing with economic, social and cultural rights. Most of these cases decided by the Supreme Court have been set as precedents.
Gonsalves is also the founder of the India Center for Human Rights and Law, an independent, one-stop information center for anyone involved in public interest law.

  1. Dear Colin, let me congratulate you on your global recognition with alternative nobel. I have not personally kept contact with you but kept abreast of your work in the area of labour law, human rights etc. I hope you will work assiduously now for the abolition or voluntary character of aadhaar. Sovereign Indian citizens are not niradhar, the governments are with direct and indirect taxes. They are not rulers, they share people's or citizen's sovereignty by vote and govern, not rule. I hope this returns to our Indian democracy. All the best in your struggles for Indian citizens.
